March Newsletter No. 3

Good morning all,

Tuesday 18th March the afternoon membership draw is now worth $350. We have Probus in the morning then in the evening we have Believe it or Not Quiz starting at 7pm. Restaurant is open from 5:30pm for bar meals, blackboard specials, and our popular rib/steak meals. Downstairs at 7pm the Indoor Bowls and Darts play. The $12 senior special lunch will be Fish bites, chips and salad, or Mini quiche and salad.

Wednesday 19th March the 500 group play in the upstairs lounge at 12:30pm. In the downstairs bar Euchre play at 7pm.

Thursday 20th March the evening membership draw will be the new system. We will run the draw for 12 weeks starting at $300 on week one and eventually jackpotting at $3000 on the 12th week if it has not claimed. We will do one draw for everyone and if not claimed it will be divided into 5 draws of $600 to those who have swiped their card when a purchase has been made on the night. The Bottom Bar Swindle will still be run in the downstairs bar and we will still be doing the $1 door draw along with meat raffles on the night. Entertainment starting at 7pm will be Steve Wall.

Friday 21st March the Handle Club will be worth $100 and it has to be claimed.

Restaurant:  Tuesday/Wednesday our rib/steak meal specials, along with blackboard meals, Thursday buffet, bar meals and blackboard specials, Friday family night, Saturday blackboard specials, restaurant menu, Sunday closed.  

Club van:  Operates Thursday through to Saturday starting at 4pm. Please keep in mind the van travels at a radius of 10km from the club. Donations are gratefully appreciated to help with the running costs. To book the van call 0211684171.

Committee nominations:  Forms are available from the office if you would like to nominate a member for office this year or you would like to be nominated. Requirements are:  need to have been a financial member for the past two years. Your nominees and seconders also have to be financial members of the club.

Friday 4th April:  Wine tasting – lounge upstairs 6pm – 8pm $25 pp tickets available from the office

Sunday 6th April:  Bamboo painting .. upstairs lounge.
