March Newsletter No. 5

Good morning to all,   

Tuesday 1st April

Members afternoon draw is worth $450 this week and drawn between 1pm – 3pm in the upstairs bar.  We have the quiz evening starting at 7pm in the lounge. Restaurant is open for lunch 12pm-2pm and the Seniors $12 lunch special will be a choice of Chicken Wrap / Fries (option 1) or Prawn Salad (option 2). In the downstairs bar Indoor Bowls and Darts play starting at 7pm.

Wednesday 2nd April

500 group play in the upstairs lounge at 12:30pm. In the downstairs bar Euchre play at 7pm.

Thursday 3rd April

Mah Jong – starts at 12:30pm every Thursday afternoon. New players are always welcome. Contact Nyrae 0274755474

Membership draw this week is $900. Bottom Bar swindle will be run as normal downstairs. The $1 door draw and meat raffles on the night in both bars.

Live entertainment is ‘Mike Derecourt’ starting at 7pm

Friday 4th April

We have the wine tasting held in the upstairs lounge area starting at 6pm-8pm $25 pp tickets available from the office. Tastings of Oyster Bay range and Barossa Valley wines along with food to compliment.

Handle Club draw is $50 this week held in the downstairs bar.

Saturday 5th April

Karaoke in the downstairs bar with Fee and Marsh starting at 7pm.

Sunday 6th April

Euchre are having a tournament upstairs in lounge from 9am to 3pm

Bamboo Painting is from 2pm-5pm held in the restaurant

WCC Fishing Section Surf Casting Competition prizegiving held in the downstairs bar 6pm…. Weigh in 4:30pm … for tickets please see Peter Stewart, Shaun Foley

Restaurant: Tuesday/Wednesday rib/steak specials along with blackboard meals. Thursday Buffet, bar meals and blackboard specials. Friday is family night. Saturday is blackboard specials plus the restaurant menu. Monday and Sunday is closed.

Club Van: operates Thursday through to Saturday starting at 4pm. Please keep in mind the van travels a radius of 10km from the Club. Donations are gratefully appreciated to held with the running costs. To book the van call 0211684171or contact the club during working opening hours 9am to 4pm.

Committee Nominations: Forms are now available from the office or the notice board on display if you would like to nominate a member for office this year or if you would like to be nominated. Requirements are: have to be a financial member for the past two years. Your proposer and seconder also have to be financial members of the club for at least one year.

AGM: Sunday 29th June 10am held in the club lounge. The Club Annual Booklet will be emailed out to members this year. If you require a hard copy please contact the office. If you require a hard copy of the Club Constitution as well, please contact the office.

Loyalty Points: today is the last day to redeem your loyalty points. Your loyalty points will start fresh as from the 1st April.
