May Newsletter No. 2

Good morning all,

Monday  12th May is Seniors Citizens afternoon. This starts at 1pm – 4pm held in the lounge upstairs.

Tuesday 13th May  we have our membership draw afternoon 1pm – 3pm and the draw is $250. Mike Derecourt will entertain in the afternoon. Our seniors special lunch options are:  option 1:  BLT and Fries, option 2: Salmon Frittata and Salad. In the evening downstairs we have Indoor Bowls and Darts. Upstairs we run our Believe it Or Not Quiz night starting at 7pm. We have teams of up to six and it costs $4 per person to play on the night. Don’t forget triple points Tuesday and we have a Lamb Shank with mash for our special on the night.

Wednesday 14th April downstairs is Euchre and upstairs at 12:30pm is 500 card group.

Thursday 15th May the membership draw has reached $2100 drawn between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. We run the $1 door draw, $2 meat raffles upstairs and downstairs and the bottom bar swindle in the downstairs bar. Entertainer for the evening will be Steve Wall starting at 7pm. If you like to play Mahjong, you are welcome to come in at 12:30pm in the upstairs lounge and join in with the rest of the ladies.

Friday 16th May  the handle club draw is worth $50 this week in the downstairs bar. Entertainment for the evening downstairs will be Charmaine and Karl starting at 7:30pm.

Saturday 17th May  there is a private function held in the lounge upstairs from 6pm onwards. The Waiuku Dirt Track are having their Prizegiving.  

Sunday 18th May we have Iveta and Simone playing in the downstairs bar at 3pm – 6pm.

Restaurant:  Tuesday Lamb Shank /mash special, Wednesday popular ribs special, Thursday buffet and blackboard specials, Friday family night, Saturday blackboard specials. Sunday we have breakfast starting from 7am to 11am then restaurant open for bar meals 12pm to 7pm. Call the club to make a booking please 092359131 ext 2

Committee Nominations:  the forms for nominations are available on the noticeboard displayed in both bars. Nominations are to be completed and then placed in the ballot box upstairs in the lounge bar. Nominations close Friday 30th May at 7pm.
